About us

A place where all children, young people and parents/carers can access support, information, and help. We are here for your whole family and will support you as your children grow, putting relationships at the heart of everything we do.

We are here to connect you to the right support, with the right person, at a time that suits you. Our 12 Family Hubs provide a range of services in the local community, working with families to ensure that services meet the needs of infants, children, young people and their parents/carers.

Family Hubs link with a wide range of organisations who support expectant parents and families with children 0-19/25, including Health, Education, Adolescent services, Job Centre Plus, Voluntary Sector, and more.

Our aims

Family Hubs are for every family living in South Tyneside. We offer welcoming and friendly places where all children, young people, parents and carers can access support, information and help.

South Tyneside Family Hubs provide access to a range of universal, targeted and specialist services offering high quality information, advice and support.

A range of professionals, including midwives, health visitors, early help workers and those working with young people are located at the Family Hubs to provide a one-stop-shop for families. Services are provided from conception through to 19 years and up to 25 years for young people with additional needs.

South Tyneside Family Hubs aim to bring services together to improve access and connections between families, professionals, services, and providers, putting relationships at the heart of family support.
