South Tyneside SENDIASS

The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) provides free, impartial and confidential information, advice and support on SEND matters.

The service is open to parents/carers of children and young people 0-25 years with SEND, young people themselves and professionals in South Tyneside. A diagnosis is not required to access the service.

The service operates an Advice Line (0191 424 6345) available daily to answer your SEND queries, or alternatively a referral to the service can be made via their website www.southtynesidesendiass.co.uk, where you’ll also find lots of helpful information.

The service also hosts weekly SEND Surgery Sessions (school term-time) at several Family Hub locations. Sessions take place on Wednesday mornings and afternoons, and dates and locations of future sessions can be found here.
