South Tyneside Family Hubs will once again celebrate Global Intergenerational Week, encouraging people of all ages to connect and collaborate.
Global Intergenerational Week will take place from 23 April to 28 April in South Tyneside, with the event initially established during the pandemic to help bridge the gap between generations and highlight the importance of intergenerational support.
Scores of children, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents will celebrate in our Learning with Play activities, highlighting the amazing outcomes that are achieved when people of all ages come together.
Throughout the week, various activities such as arts and crafts, songs, and stories will be shared to celebrate intergenerational living and support.
Operational Manager for Family Hub Services, Gemma Briggs, said: “Last year was a real success and we’re looking forward to our Family Hubs welcoming three generations again this year.
“Seeing children and young people having fun with their families is always amazing, but three or four generations all being together under one roof is extra special.”
