South Tyneside Family Hubs is delighted to announce a new partnership with South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust which will see an improved access to sexual health care in our community settings and Family Hubs.

Sexual Health Services strive to ensure services are accessible across the local area and together with our Family Hubs, have established a range of new outreach clinics to support the wider community to access sexual health care and advice.

We are aware of some of the challenges families face when trying to access our services such as transport, travel to clinics, cost of travel and the need to take time off work or school are only some of the barriers people face when accessing sexual health care.

To address these barriers to service access, we have partnered up with South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust offering FREE contraception and FREE STI screening at a Family Hub near you.

  • Contraceptive Pills
  • Condoms
  • Emergency Hormonal Contraception ( Morning after pill)
  • Contraceptive Injection
  • Contraceptive Implant Insertion
  • Pregnancy Testing
  • Asymptomatic Sexually Transmitted Infection Testing

The new community clinics are appointment only and can be booked by calling South Tyneside Sexual Health on 0191 4028168.
